STAMPING DIVISION

CAPABILITIES

• Up to 2” wide by 4” long

• .002” to .090” thick

• Progressive dies, bending and blanking as well as the technologically advanced capabilities of providing stamped parts accurately located on tape and reel for robotic pick-and-place operations and marrying tape and metal in a dielectric application.

• High-speed presses have the capability to stamp up to one million parts per day of some small parts, helping bring about greater yields and cost reductions.

• Tumbling and deburring department enables CMF to deliver totally burr-free and oil-free parts.

• Cut-to-length department can cut strips up to 6.5” wide and 24” long with a thickness up to .025”. These parts are then fully cleaned for use in chemical and photo etching.

• All types of material stamped, specializing in clad metals, pre-plated metals and plastics, including Teflon.
STAMPED PARTS ON TAPE

CMF’s custom Parts-on-Tape division provides stamped parts accurately located on a Mylar carrier. This is used for pick-and-place in high volume operations to reduce operator handling. Parts on tape are also used for part orientation. Many parts are dimensionally symmetrical but made from composite materials. These materials may not have visual differences. The process ensures that parts are oriented correctly as they go into the build phase.

Parts can also be provided on a carrier with a double-sided tape on one side. This process helps with hand assembly to eliminate the use of messy glue assemblies. Parts can be provided on tape-and-reel or individually with liner on the tape for removal before assembly. CMF custom designs tape systems for each customer.

Our in-house tape specialists can help you with any tape questions as well as solving your build problems and reducing build costs.

DIELECTRIC TAPE STAMPING

Clark Mini Fastener has developed the ability to supply stamped metal parts pre-laminated with dielectric Kapton® tape. The tape can be on one or both sides of a stamping. The tape can be solid or pre-punched with holes for electrical contact points.

APPLICATIONS
• Electrical insulation and/or isolation of metal components
• Masking in high temperature and chemically corrosive environments
